Initially in 1999, I started a SHG (Self Help Group) of rural women in my village and named it as Annai Theresa SHG. Then staff of NEW LIFE came to my village to start this SHG and they promoted the live skills of my members. I did my job role perfectly and responsibly as a member of this SHG and President of SHG. New Life NGO recognised me and my skills and I was trained in-house as well external trainings. I was inducted into the organisation as Branch Manager. Basically I am a commerce student so I did my role in branch level to the satisfaction of the management. In the year 2004 I was promoted to the Head office as Accountant and now I am in the Board of the organisation.To me what I like most in this NGO is the transparency of the utilisation of public funds and the accountability to the Community the organisation is serving. The details of monthly disbursements of funds are printed and circulated to all the community members of the project area was a new phenomenon in the NGO sector here.......
I wish to say that New Life organisation has given me a New Life as i had been gradually improving my lifestyle over these years both personally and officially........
