The Orphanage ‘Poonjolai'  is one New Life's cherished goals. In 2007, this objective was realized. About 12 Boys and  girls, orphaned and uncared due to paradox of circumstances are growing into intelligent and responsible children of better tomorrow. New Life is providing food, shelter and education to these boys and girls who otherwise would have withered away.

Here the organisation acknowledges with gratitude the massive support it received from Individuals, Business Houses and Institutions contributing to the development of the society. Poonjolai  is  moving into a new premises of its own at Door No:1/18,Nadar Street, Nachchikurichi Village, Vasan Nagar Bus stop, Vayalur Road during the month of  November 2008.

In addition to the formal education, the children are taught dance, music, and artwork. They are also taught Karate as a self defence measure. They are trained in making greeting cards, candles; embroidery works and other job oriented arts so that they may stand on their own legs when the time comes for them to leave the orphanage.

It may be your experience to have seen forsaken orphans left stranded in your vicinity. You must have indeed shed a silent tear and perhaps given a bit of help to those who crave for your covertures. Though the charity in its way allays your feeling of sympathy, you might, if you have cared to ask yourselves, have wondered why these unfortunate ones must be left to drag out their existence as a deserted lot, always an object of pity and sometimes of derision. When you let your creativity emerge out with an intention to mitigate this deadly situation of silent emergency, you arrive at to conclude - yes, these downtrodden deserve OUR attention for their upliftment.

In order to keep abreast to the fast changing face of the world, the organisation proposes to give them training in office automation and in areas of their skill.

You have an occasion celebrate and would like to hare with Orphans. By contributing Rs. 500/-, you are providing a feast for the children for a day.

You have a desire to educate a deprived, but wanted to know how. With Rs. 4735/ - you could provide education for a child for a year.Our organisation committs to update you the academic performances of the child with a special software www.umecs.com. Using the unique user id provided to you as a in-distance parent you will know the vital information about the child anytime and anywhere you are.

You would want to partly adopt a child viz., providing for food, shelter, schooling, clothing for a duration of a year. Just as little as Rs. 6720/- per annum will make this happen. You shall get quarterly report of the child you have sponsored.

A one time payment of Rs. 8000/- will enable us to feed the children at Prasanna Jyothi on any one day of your choice throughout your life.
